Welcome to 2025 everyone!
We are excited for a fresh new year of connections and community building. To kick things off we will be hosting our first official happy hour of 2025 on February 5th (Location TBD).
If you missed our 2024 year in review post we encourage to take a look for some fun stats about the group and our strategy to make this group better and stronger going forward.
In today’s newsletter we’ve added a couple bonus sections to acquaint new subscribers with additional ways to get involved such as the regional coffee meetups and the Slack community. Lastly, if you are looking for some peer to peer help on accountability for your New Year’s resolutions… make sure to check out Bo’s member spotlight below.
As always, if you know anyone great for this group, please make sure to send them this invite link.

I’m a Marine Corps officer turned entrepreneur that’s been doing early stage tech startups for the last ~15 years. I’ve done every job you can do in an early stage startup! My focus is on 0 to 1 helping take an idea to revenue, which I’ve done five times now.
I firmly believe AI is changing the game in entrepreneurship as it enables everyone to create software applications from scratch and market at scale. I’ve been digging deep into and testing all things LLM for the past two years. My current focus is on how agents work and can be used to quickly create MVPs.
Why Maine?
We were in Denver, but frustrated by both the cost of living and constant fires. As we thought about “where next” we wanted someplace with access to the outdoors within a couple hours of a major city and landed in Harpswell almost 5 years ago.
Away from the keyboard
We’ve got three kids (one’s about to drive!?!) that we homeschool. That gives us flexibility, so we like to travel as much as we can afford. When home we hike, kayak, and do a lot of reading.
Let’s talk
Best way to get in touch is Slack
Feel free to reach out if you’ve got an idea that you’re thinking about taking from 0 to 1.
Lot’s of people helped me out along the way and all they ever asked is that I pay it forward, so I’m happy to see if I can help!
P.S. Bo is putting together accountability groups to help people achieve their New Year’s resolutions. These will be groups of 5 to 7 people who have the same goals and are committed to achieving them. Reach out to Bo directly on Slack to join.

We now have ~650 members in the Nexus Slack channel! This is where the Nexus community dives deeper, shares advice, and makes connections. If you are a new joiner or looking to jump back in… here are some conversation spotlights to get started:
Exploring an idea for grocery delivery in the Midcoast
Creating accountability groups for working out, meditation, writing and more!
Thank you for making this community special, everyone! See you on Slack.
