“Reach out to me for anything related to music, software development, or building community in general. I'm booked pretty solid, but if I can't help, I'll try to connect you with someone who can.”
Background: Second-generation programmer, musician, and teacher. His father worked on NASA's Voyager and sang classical. Mom taught high school French.
Programmer: 2000s, early hire at two successful startups, Athena Health and then ZipCar. 2010s, freelance JavaScript specialist, then international instructor for clients from AmEx to VMWare. Now back to startups, this time as leader, architect and mentor.
Musician: first entrepreneurial venture was teaching guitar! Professionally, have performed on 2 national tours, released 3 albums. Lifelong rock 'n roller and he still plays regional shows!
Passions: cooking, physical fitness, mental and spiritual health. Volunteers organizer for Bike Party - dozens to hundreds of cyclists meet up for a fun ride, with music, lights, and zany antics.
He lives in a 100+ year old house in Westbrook with his wife, Amy. They have one grown kid, who lives in NYC and works in the arts, and a dog I suspect might be part raccoon.
